At our practice, we provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults. Our goal is to help patients build resilience and achieve lasting emotional well-being through personalized, collaborative care.

We offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, family consultation, and parent guidance through both in-person visits in Berkeley and secure telepsychiatry throughout California.

The practice is led by Dr. Yuhuan Xie, a board-certified psychiatrist in both General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Xie completed her Psychiatry residency at Duke University Hospital and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of California, Davis Health.

Dr. Xie cares for patients across the lifespan, with expertise in PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder. She has a particular passion for working with children and families and is experienced in integrating psychotherapy and parent training with thoughtful medication management. As a Mandarin-speaking psychiatrist, she provides culturally responsive care in both English and Mandarin and has dedicated much of her career to serving the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Xie serves as a child psychiatrist at Stanford’s Immune Behavioral Health Clinic, where she works with children whose psychiatric symptoms are associated with complex neuroimmune and medical conditions. She also serves as the Medical Director of Specialty Mental Health at Asian Health Services, leading multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, community-based psychiatric care.

Dr. Xie is actively involved in clinical research and has published studies on OCD, autoimmune associations in youth, and evidence-based parenting interventions for ADHD. She also led a landmark clinical trial demonstrating the effectiveness of videoconferencing for teaching parent management skills, helping expand access to care for families. Her commitment to research ensures that patients benefit from the latest advances in psychiatric treatment while receiving compassionate, individualized care.
